How is the score I need worked out?

Your final grade is your current grade times the share of the course already done, plus your exam score times the exam weight. The calculator solves that for the exam score that gives your target.

What does "not reachable" mean?

It means you would need more than 100% on the final to reach your target. The calculator shows the highest overall grade you can still get.
