Questions
How random are these passwords?
They use crypto.getRandomValues, the cryptographically secure random generator built into your browser, not Math.random.
What does the entropy figure mean?
It estimates how many guesses an attacker would need, as a power of two. Each extra bit doubles the work. The figure assumes the attacker knows the settings you used, so it is an estimate, not a guarantee.
Is a passphrase as safe as a random password?
It can be. A passphrase of six random words from this list has about 51 bits of entropy, and adding words raises it further. Words must be chosen at random, not by you.
Are my passwords stored?
No. They are generated in your browser and are never sent anywhere or saved.
