It divides your word count by 238 words per minute, the average silent reading speed for adults, and rounds to the nearest minute.
Do emoji count as one character?
Yes. The counter counts each emoji or accented letter as a single character, the same way most social platforms do.
Is my text saved or sent anywhere?
No. Everything is counted in your browser and nothing is stored or uploaded.
